The GIPRO X-Type.....fast, accurate, compact!

The GIpro-X with Wheel Speed Sensor from HealTech Electronics Ltd. can be installed on ANY vehicle which has wheels and electronic ignition but do NOT have a working OEM electronic speed sensor.

Due to a modern processor and sophisticated firmware, the GIpro-X offers faster and more reliable readings than competitive products. Same size as the GIpro-DS this is also the smallest, most compact gear indicator on the market, making it easy to mount at the instrument cluster. Just the perfect size. It has a clear front face which goes along nicely with the factory instruments.

The product has Red, Blue, Green,Yellow, or White LED display. (Green, Yellow and White by special order only)

Unit dimensions: 20mm wide by 30mm tall by 15mm deep (8/10 inch by 1 1/8 inch by 5/8 inch)

The model is easy to program, there are no buttons and no programming wires. Just go through the gears and you are done. (see user guide)

Programmable Shift Light function as well as High Speed Warning feature is included. You won't find this feature set in other products.

The product is rugged, 100% weatherproof and comes with 2-year replacement warranty.

NOTES:

- Unlike with sensors from other brands, no need to install magnets on the wheel.

- Our sensor detects movement of the bolt heads of the brake disc, or bolt heads of the rear sprocket.

- Rear wheel mounting is recommended to ensure the gear indicator will function correctly even with the front wheel up.

- The sensor can be used also in custom applications, where a bike owner wants to replace an old (cable driven) instrument cluster to a new cluster, which requires electronic speed signal. Note that this would also require a SpeedoHealer to correct the signal.

Don't have a dash area to mount the GIPro on your bike? We also sell a chrome or anodized black billet GIPro bar mount for just $59.90. Fits 7/8 to 1 inch bars.

An excellent addition to my bikes
I fitted one of these units to my 2001 Honda ST1100. Installation was not quite straightforward, but with the excellent Tech support from both Blue Monkey and HealTech, we got there in the end. This unit has made such a difference to the riding experience on my bike, that after on one long ride on this bike, I ordered a second unit for my other 1991 ST. Depending on mounting position, the unit can be less than perfect to try and read in bright sunlight, but the addition of a small visor took care of that. Bearing in mind that the unit is not taking a direct gear signal from the bike, but comparing a speed signal from the wheel to an engine speed signal from the engine electronics to determine which gear is in use, it does limit the accuracy in some circumstances. It's not perfect, but it is very good, and in the vast majority of cases, it accurately displays the current gear. Just remember the clutch needs to be out, and the wheels turning for it to be able to calculate. So don't expect to be able to sit at a light going down through the gears to find neutral, and get a display of each gear. My days of trying to find another gear when already in top have gone, as have my days of cruising in 4th, thinking I'm in 5th(the ST1100 is a quiet bike, and being at 3,000, or 4,000 revs does not make a big change in sound). It's one of things that you may not think you need, but once you get used to it, you'll wonder how you rode for so long without it!

Works as expected
Installed on an '06 Ninja 250. Had to fashion a bracket for rear wheel sensor mount but otherwise pretty straightforward installation. Unit powered up and programmed up per instructions. Now shows different gears pretty good, although downshifting w/o throttle it tends to "lose" gears and you just get a minus sign across display. Think I just need to do another calibration ride or two to tweak it in. Great product.

Mr.
just purchased the glpro ds /tre for my Suzuki bandit 1250s. It's amazing how much smoother the bike now runs,no more backing firing on up shifts or down shifts and has a mellow sound.A great product that does just what it claims.
