GIPro Gear Indicator rated 5 stars by Motorcyclist Magazine

The GIPRO X-Type.....fast, accurate, compact!

The all new GIpro-X from HealTech Electronics Ltd. is the third GIpro variant in the range. This Gear Position Indicator will fit ALL motorcycles and vehicles which have electronic speedometer (either analog or digital readout).
(For vehicles with cable driven speedometer or that for some reason DO NOT HAVE a working speed sensor, use the GIPRO X-Type with Wheel Speed Sensor (WSS Kit)

Due to a modern processor and sophisticated firmware, the GIpro-X offers faster and more reliable readings than competitive products. Same size as the GIpro-DS this is also the smallest, most compact gear indicator on the market, making it easy to mount at the instrument cluster. Just the perfect size. It has a clear front face which goes along nicely with the factory instruments.

The product has Red, Blue, Green, Yellow, or White LED display (Green, Yellow and White by special order only, lead time is 2 weeks, these colors are not as bright as Red or Blue).

Unit dimensions: 20mm wide by 30mm tall by 15mm deep (8/10 inch by 1 1/8 inch by 5/8 inch)

The model is auto learning, there are no buttons and no programming wires. Just go through the gears and you are done. (see user guide)

Programmable Shift Light function as well as High Speed Warning feature is included. You won't find this feature set in other products.

The product is rugged, 100% weatherproof and comes with 2-years replacement warranty.

Installation?...pretty dang simple...
HealTech makes bike specific looms to make the installation quick and simple. This kit is "semi-universal" meaning that it requires one wire to be spliced (rpm signal) but the speedo sensor wire is plug-and-play! Follow these steps:

1) Locate the speed sensor. Plug the GIPRO-X speed pickup wire inline. If you have a SpeedoHealer installed, you have to connect the plugs in-line in the following order: Speed sensor male plug >> GIpro >> SH >> bike female plug.

2) Locate the ECU (Engine Control Unit) box. Usually under the seat or a side fairing. Find the tach signal wire (different by model...see bike-specific installation instructions for wire color directions)

3) Just go through the gears (see user guide for instructions) and you are done. Note that HealTech suggests doing this with a WARMED UP engine.

THAT'S IT!

-Each unit is extensively tested, and comes with a 30-day money back guarantee if for any reason it fails to meet your expectation (All parts must be returned in original condition), and a TWO YEAR replacement guarantee (The product should not be damaged or subjected to over-voltage.

Don't have a dash area to mount the GIPro on your bike? We also sell a chrome or anodized black billet GIPro bar mount for just $59.90. Fits 7/8 to 1 inch bars.

Easy install and works nice
Bought for '03 Honda VFR800. Install was super simple. It works great. Highly recommended. Now I know exactly how many upshifts and downshifts I have at my disposal and this really helps me outrun pursuers.

This item installed under 15 min, and it works exactly as stated. Only thing i was not so pleased with is the Shift light setup. You have to slowly accelerate upto to desired shift point and hold it there for few second. On my bike i set it up at 11k. Other than that its easy to use

Finally!!!! I definitively know what gear I’m in
It works as advertised, I bought this for my Honda 929 and install was a breeze. The product plugs into the existing wiring harness and one additional wire needs to be attached to a wire coming out of your ECU. Programing it involves only driving down the street and shifting through the gears. The unit does the rest. There is a very small lag from the time you engage a new gear to the time the indicator shows it, but we are talking less than half a second. One small con is that the wires coming out of the display unit are on the stiff side, it would be easier to hide the wire if it was softer or came out of the side of the unit and not the bottom. But this relates only to the way I chose to mount the display. Support was fantastic, both from Blue Monkey and also from the manufacturer. I had a question about which wire to connect to on the ECU for my specific motorcycle and the manufacturer got back to me with 20 min with the answer and two pictures related to my specific bike. Did I mention that it was 11:30 PM on a Friday in Hungary? These guys are good!

Worth the money.
I was looking for a gear indicator for my 2004 Honda RC51. I track the bike and thought this might be helpful. Installation for me was easy. The hardest part is location the right connection. Otherwise install and setup was seamless and as advertised. I have yet to try out the shift light but that is coming. If you are looking for a gear indicator, something that works in bright sunlight and can be mounted almost anywhere on your dash, this is worth the look.

GIPro X-Type HealTech Gear Indicator
I am very pleased with the product because after the installation and have been using it up to date, this indicator displays clearly and accurately on which gear I am into and it is really hassle free engaging gears. I have lots of difficulties in knowing which gear I engaged and that caused my machine moved is if it was like under power. Now with the indicator installed, I have no worries at all. The money paid for the item is WORTH. Thank you and your excellent product of this gear indicator.
